4.4 Group manager

The group manager shows all groups in the current page in a tree view. If you click on one of the groups in the tree view, the group manager will show the objects that are members of the group and it will also select all group member objects in the layout dialog. All objects except action objects can be added to groups. An object can also be a member of multiple groups. The group manager looks like this:

Combining objects into groups makes it much easier to work with them because you can show and hide all objects inside a group at the same time by using action events such as Show group or Hide group. It's also possible to change the properties of multiple objects at the same time using groups.

The following buttons are available in the group manager:

New
Creates a new group consisting of all currently selected objects.

Edit
Allows you to change the group's name and its unique identifier. See Group properties dialog for details.

Delete
Deletes the currently selected group.

Note that some options like adding objects to existing groups or removing them from existing groups are only available from the "Group" menu. See Menu functions for details.
